Simon Sinek said “The true value of networking doesn’t come from how many people we can meet, but rather how many people we can introduce to others.” I love this. I've never been shy, but I joined a hugr chamber of commerce. When I went to the first mixer, I was overwhelmed with the giant crows of people all talking to one another. I didn't really know anyone. I had no problem meeting new people, but I saw other who walked in and turned around to leave, so I stood by the door and became the unofficial greeter. I'd visit with anyone who looked lost, then I introduced them to others who also looked lost. It was great!
