Alexander Graham Bell said "The achievement of one goal should be the starting point of another." I love this quote. I have said a rendition of this for thirty years. I became a broadcaster in the mid 1990s. I was a kid with a big smile and a bunch of ideas, but when I started selling advertising, I made a distinction with myself, when someone bought ads with me... when the sale was made... that was not the end... it was the beginning. My job was officially to sell ads... but if I did that... eventually I'd have to do that job again. If I instead made my job to help them make the advertising work... my job had only just begun!
