Howard Schultz said "When you're surrounded by people who share a passionate commitment around a common purpose, anything is possible." I love this concept. I've been on this exact committee! I've helped plan events that have been like working with a symphony where every board member had a part to play and everyone was in sync. It was magical. I've also been involved in planning events where two or three people did what they said they would do, while several others just said they would do things, but never actually did them. That's like a symphony too, but a really bad out of tune symphony. It's not good
